We use as few cookies as possible, and never inside the tools you use to make things. This page explains what we set and how you stay in control.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are essential for a site to work; others help measure how a site is used or support advertising.

The cookies we use

Analytics (Google Analytics 4). These help us see which pages and features people find useful, in aggregate, so we can improve them.

Advertising (if shown). Some pages may carry ads to keep the tools free. Ad partners such as Google may set cookies to show relevant ads and limit how often you see the same one.

We do not use cookies to store the content you type — your word lists, rosters, and names live in your browser's local storage on your device, not in a cookie and not on a server.

Managing your choices

When analytics or ads are active, we ask for your choice with a banner on your first visit, and remember it. You can change it any time using the Cookie preferences link in the footer. Until you accept, no analytics or advertising cookies are set (Google Consent Mode).

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the tools will still work. To opt out of personalized advertising, visit the Digital Advertising Alliance or Google's Ads Settings. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites with Google's opt-out browser add-on.
