Frequently asked questions

Everything about how PaperCarnival works. Still stuck? Reach us on the contact page.

Is PaperCarnival really free?

Yes, completely free. There's no account, no limit on how many cards you make, and no watermark on anything you print.

Do I need to sign up or create an account?

No. There's no signup, no email wall, and no login. Open a tool and start making cards straight away.

How many cards can I print?

As many as you like. Set the number of cards, then print or download a PDF. Every card is shuffled to be unique, so no two players share a board.

What can I make right now?

Nineteen tools: bingo cards (custom words, your own photos, or classic 1-75 numbers), 90-ball tickets for housie and tambola, word searches, crosswords, charades decks, scavenger hunt sheets, seating charts, and a dozen more for playing at the table or on screen. You can also start from a ready-made occasion set (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, classroom icebreakers and more).

Do you make 90-ball bingo tickets?

Yes, and they are real ones: 3 rows by 9 columns, five numbers to a row, each column holding only its own range, in strips of six that share all ninety numbers exactly once between them. That is the same game as housie in Australia and New Zealand and tambola in India. The PDF ends with a caller's board of 1 to 90.

What paper sizes and layouts are supported?

US Letter and A4, with 1, 2, or 4 cards per page, plus a large-print option for easy reading. You can print directly or download a PDF, and there's a host call-sheet to track what you've called.

Can I use my own words and emoji?

Yes. Type any words or phrases, one per line, and add native emoji if you like. Start from a sample list and edit it however you want, the list is yours.

Is my data private?

Everything you type is. There's no server storing what you make: the words you type, the lists you save, and any names you enter live only in your own browser, on your device, and are never uploaded to us. The seven generator pages that hold your lists load no advertising script at all. Advertising runs on article and occasion pages and beside some tools, never on those seven generator pages, and never on your printed output. See our privacy policy for the full details.

How is every card unique, and can I reprint the same set?

A seeded shuffle gives each card its own arrangement, so no two are alike. Each game has a short code, and the same code reproduces the exact same cards on any device, so you can share a set with a colleague and you'll both get identical cards.

Can I use the cards at a party or in a paid class?

Yes. You're free to print and use your cards for personal, classroom, and party use, and for commercial events, at no cost. See our terms of use for the specifics.

How do I print at home?

Click Print, choose your printer, and make sure 'Background graphics' is enabled so the theme colors come through. Prefer to save paper? Use the ink-saver (outline) theme. You can also download a PDF and print it later.
