Free Printable Halloween Scavenger Hunt
Print a Halloween hunt where no two children get the same list, free, and ready in under a minute.
24 things to find · a fresh sheet for every child · US Letter & A4
- A pair of wings
- A skeleton
- Something purple
- Something black
- Something sticky
- A spider
- A witch
- Something that glows in the dark
- Something you would not want to touch
- Someone wearing a mask
- A cobweb, real or fake
- Something that makes a spooky sound
A Halloween party has a gap right at the start. Guests arrive over half an hour, everyone is in costume with nothing to do yet, and the room fills with children standing in a hall. Hand each of them a hunt as they come in and the problem solves itself.
Each sheet holds twelve things to find, drawn from a list of twenty four, so a room full of children is not chasing the same carved pumpkin. The items stay on the costume-and-decoration side of the night, a pair of wings, a door with a decoration on it, something you would not want to touch, so nothing on the list frightens the youngest guest.
Print a stack and hand out pencils. Every sheet ends with a “Found by” line, and there is no account, no limit, no watermark. Turn the lights down and give out small torches and it becomes a different and considerably better game. If you have put up decorations worth finding, open the hunt in the generator and write them in. Whatever you type stays on your device.

Ways to run it
Party arrival
Hand one out as each guest walks in. It gets them exploring the house rather than standing in the hall.
A different list each
Each sheet is a different twelve of the twenty four, so a room full of children is not chasing one pumpkin.
Torch round
Turn the lights down and hand out small torches. It is a different game entirely, and much better.
Not for the street
Written for a party or a house rather than for trick or treating, so nobody is wandering off looking for an item.
Questions
Is this Halloween scavenger hunt free?+
Yes, completely free, with no account, no print limit, and no watermark.
Is it frightening?+
No. The items are the costume-and-decoration side of Halloween, so a five year old can do the whole sheet without a problem.
Does every child get a different list?+
Yes, a different twelve items each, which stops the whole room from chasing the same carved pumpkin.
Can we play it while trick or treating?+
It is written for a party or a house instead, on purpose, so nobody wanders off down the street looking for an item.
Can I add our own decorations?+
Yes. Open it in the generator and write in whatever you have put up. Everything you type stays on your device.
