Can I use my own picture?

No. The six pictures are drawn on the page itself out of plain shapes, which is why nothing is downloaded, nothing is uploaded and there is no image file anywhere. Allowing your own picture would mean handling a file, and this site does not handle files.

What is the difference between the two modes?

One board for everybody is the class-wide version: the whole room is filling the same picture, so every piece is a shared win. A board each is a race, and it needs names in the Players tab. The shared board works with nobody listed at all.

Random piece or next piece?

Random is better for a long goal, because the picture appears in patches and the shape of it is a surprise. Next in order fills it left to right and top to bottom, which is easier to read as progress when the board is at the front of a room. Both buttons are on every board.

What happens if I change the piece count mid-game?

The pieces already earned stay earned as far as the new board can show them. Going from twenty-five down to nine shows the nine it can and forgets the rest, so it is worth choosing the size before you start rather than during.

Does it remember the board?

Yes. The picture, the piece count, the mode and every board are kept in this browser, so a long goal survives a refresh, a locked phone or a week between lessons. Nothing is uploaded, and a share link carries only the picture and the piece count.

A reward you can see from the back of the room

A jar of marbles works because it is visible. So does a chart of stars, and so does a thermometer drawn on sugar paper. What none of them has is a shape at the end: the reward is the number, and the number is the same number it would have been on a list. A picture is different. It arrives in patches, it becomes recognisable somewhere around half, and the last few pieces are the ones everybody is waiting for.

For progress as a number or a path rather than a picture, the progress track is the page, and for a reward that is a thing to hold rather than a thing to look at, the score tokens stack up instead. Names come from the same shared list every tool here with players uses, and they never leave this browser.
