When the bag is the thing that is missing
A word game box loses its bag long before it loses its board. Somebody puts the tiles in a sandwich box, then in a drawer, and the next game is played by taking tiles face down off the table, which everybody knows is not the same thing.
The bag here holds the real distribution and nothing else. Draw seven, see them on the rack, and the counter tells you ninety-three are left. Put one back and it is ninety-four. The arithmetic is the whole point of a bag, and it is the part a box of tiles on a table gets wrong.
The number bags do the same job for a different game. One to ninety is the caller's bag for housie and tambola, and if you want the tickets to go with it the 90 ball ticket generator prints proper strips of six.

Questions
- Which letter distribution is this?
- The standard hundred-tile English set: twelve E, nine A and I, one Q and one Z, and two blanks. It is the distribution the usual word games are balanced around, which is why a replacement bag has to match it exactly.
- Can I play a whole word game here?
- No, and it is not trying to be one. This is the bag only: it draws tiles and counts what is left. The board, the scoring and the dictionary are yours.
- Can I use my own tiles?
- Yes. Write one per line with how many of each after an x, like Gold x 3. They stay in this browser and are never put into a link.
- What happens when the bag runs out?
- It says so and stops drawing, the way a real bag does. Put them all back to start again, or tap a tile on the rack to return that one.
