Do challenges repeat?

Only if you skip one or shuffle the done pile back in. This is a real deck rather than a random picker: a card you mark done leaves the deck, a card you skip goes to the bottom, and the counter on the stage says how many are still to come.

Can I write my own challenges?

Yes. Type them one per line in the Cards tab and press Use my challenges, and the deck becomes yours. They are kept in this browser, they replace the ready-made set entirely, and they never travel in a share link.

How do the points work?

Add names in the Players tab and a completed card can be pointed at whoever did it. With no names the deck just counts how many have been done, which is often all a room needs. The tally is remembered between sittings and there is a button to clear it.

Are the challenges safe to hand to a class?

The four family sets are written for that. The moving set is school PE warm-ups: star jumps, heel raises, balancing on one foot, stretches. Nothing asks anybody to climb, hold their breath, eat anything or touch another person, and nothing needs equipment.

Does it remember where I was?

Yes. The deck, the done pile and the card you were on are kept in this browser, so closing the tab in the middle of a game and coming back later picks up where you left off. Clearing your site data for this site removes it.

A deck, not a random button

Most challenge generators pick at random every time, which means the eighth card can be the first card and an evening has no shape. This one behaves like the pack of cards it is drawn to look like. There are a fixed number of challenges in it, a card you finish goes into the done pile, a card you skip goes to the bottom, and the deck runs out. Running out is the point: it is what turns a pile of prompts into a game with an ending.

Because it is a deck, it can be put down and picked up. The order, the done pile and the card you were looking at are all kept in this browser, so a game interrupted by dinner is still the same game afterwards, with the same cards left in it.

Add names and a finished card can be pointed at whoever did it, which turns the deck into a light competition without needing a scoreboard. If you want a real one, the scoreboard is next door, the countdown timer is what to put beside a challenge that needs a clock, and the penalty wheel is the same idea for forfeits rather than tasks.
